Design
CUBE is shaped like a cube encased by a simple steel-and-glass construction. Come nightfall, the CUBE façade is lit up in different colours, making it a sort of visual magnet which can be seen for miles.
Unconventional design
Modern, uncompromising and contemporary – these three words sum up the interior design at CUBE: life in CUBE is marked by back-lit pillars, glass, concrete and modern furnishings.
Spacious interiors
CUBE is not just a hotel. Much more, its loft-like architecture makes CUBE a large living room in the mountains: Life at CUBE takes place outside the rooms. The spacious public areas on every floor promote communication among the CUBE guests. The leather couches in the lobby area are perfect to just sit and leisurely let the time pass.
Mood through light
Light effects play an important role at the CUBE hotels. Large colourful glass surfaces on every floor, in combination with natural and artificial sources of light, create a unique atmosphere that changes with the time of day.
Functionality
The functional approach which winds its way from the basement all the way to the top floor is manifested best by the CUBE ramps. In place of stairs, special ramps – the so-called gateways – combine the atrium with the individual floors of the CUBE. The gateways allow guests to quickly and easily transport their sports equipment to their “showroom”, a sort of anteroom in front of the actual hotel room where guests can hang their mountain bikes, snowboards or carver skis and dry their sports shoes. Specialised climate control guarantees that the clothing is dry the next day, in winter as well as in summer. The glass front of these storage rooms is what turns them into showrooms for equipment and gear.
